Honduras lies in the tropical zone, and its landscapes are varied, from mountainous areas, to lakes, to flat zones, to coastal areas and islands in the Caribbean. This means that the country has various climates within its borders, which can be a little tricky to plan your traveling. While in one zone the weather can be splendid, it is possible that in another the weather is extremely bad.
I lived this experience myself, traveling from central Honduras with great weather, to the northern area where it was raining very heavily. In fact, it was raining so heavily that my feet got wet while in a taxi, we were driving through the streets of La Ceiba which had turned into canals. The good thing about these variations of geography and climate is that the skies of Honduras are often beautiful and almost never boring. I hardly had a day with a perfectly blue sky, there was nearly always a cloud to make it look a little more varied.
Sometimes, these clouds made imposing, threatening, hopeful combinations. Together with the sun, the spectacle in the sky was breathtaking at times. Whether in the mountains, on the northern coast, or on the Caribbean islands, the clouds showed themselves in different variations every day. The skies were so beautiful, I just had to take pictures of them.
